FRS / GMRS is a good option for communications within the team for transmissions that don't need to go through primary SAR channels monitored by the CP and other teams. It can also be useful between teams for non-incident communications, assuming the teams are close enough to communicate using that method.

FRS and the higher powered GMRS operate in the 450 MHz range with analog FM.
Only individuals can obtain GMRS licenses, not associations or commercial
users. The range is strictly line of sight and can be shortened by tees
which absorb the signals.
Check with your public safety agency to see what systems they use. You want
to be able to talk back to the search base and to others in the field. We
used to call this communicating, now it is called interoperability.
