For those of you into using technology who aren't on the SARnews newsletter list ... an emerging locating technology using ultrawideband wireless transmission technology is worth keeping an eye on for SAR and disaster response. Voice capable, so this has the potential to evolve into a portable wireless communications network where you can also see where your people are.
