Sandy is in a new MSAR unit in Taos County, New Mexico, north
of Santa Fe.
Hi Sandy. I invited you personally to attend our last meeting;
are you asking about having your entire unit come to our meetings
and trainings? I cannot answer that without discussing it with
our unit during a meeting...but I don't see why not. Actually,
maybe you all should join our unit, at least until you are ready
to operate as an MSAR unit on your own.
For what it's worth, there are guests at most of our meetings;
guests are people who attend with or by invitation of a member.
If anyone wants an invitation, they should feel free to say so.
Guests are prospective new members, friends/family of members,
former members (retired, moved away, dropped out, whatever; we
are easy), and people we invite specifically to do training or
briefing/debriefing. We're planning to take the New Mexico PACE
and ICS-100 exams this winter. We will be scheduling a date for
these and we can certainly accomodate more exam-takers than our
unit has members, so I expect we will advertize the date. This
exam is partly specific to New Mexico, so probably no one from
outside the state would be interested. But...others who do not
operate in a state-wide SAR system might be interested in a copy
of the exam study guide. Directions on how to get a copy is on
my unit's website, http://www.ibiblio.org/msar/units/santafe/.
