Red Boiling Springs, TN -- The 17th Annual Biodynamic Celebration and Harvest Festival will be held at Jeff Poppen's, aka The Barefoot Farmer, Long Hungry Creek Farm. This year's theme is Cooperation. Cooperation amongst farmers, families, businesses, neighbors and friends. Workshops will include a range of topics of interest to market farmers and home gardeners, including vegetables, fruit & herbs, domestic animals, bees, practical organics, basic farming skills, creating healthy soil, and discussions on “Steiner Stuff” – education, medicine, meditation, and studying the Agriculture Course. There will be children's story times, herb walks, farm-intern circles, CSA news and plenty of discussions about health, local food, biodynamics, livestock, homesteading, and growing your own fruits and vegetables. Saturday night also includes a talent show, bonfire and biodynamic music for evening entertainment. The annual family friendly gathering includes professional biodynamic gardeners, farmers, doctors and educators in a relaxed atmosphere sharing information. Gourmet feasts made from all-biodynamic, homegrown fruits, vegetables, grains, meats, and dairy products prove the merits of biodynamic agriculture. Camping and meals are all included in the registration fee. Celebrate biodynamics with an old-fashioned harvest festival! Fee and schedule information is at www.barefootfarmer.com
