Andrea,

If you don't have much wind pins such as re-pins available from Johnny's and others work. When the wind blows I use concrete blocks every six feet or so.

I have yet another question.  This year I am covering my kale with row cover because the local ground squirrels love it.  I am going to use #9 wire for hoops as the kale doesn't seem to like to rub up against the row cover.

How have people found is the best way to hold down row cover?  In the past I have put dirt on it but then it is always a pain to remove it when things need to be checked on.  I heard something about laying rebar on the edges.

Any suggestions would be great

Thanks again,
Andrea
