My Farmall super A will cultivate easily running on dead idle. That is the advantage of a four cylinder engine. If speed is a problem you can compensate with different shaped cultivator sweeps. Cultivating tomatoes is easy at any speed but cultivating parsley up close can be unnerving yet guys around here do it 5 rows at a time with Farmalls. When you run the same tractor for a lifetime as I have, the tractor becomes an extension of your body and cultivating is as easy as brushing your teeth... Bob.

Talking of the speed of those tractors, I just found an old message from 2005 stating the farmall A and IH 140 were a bit too high geared. How fast do these go in thé lowest gear at part throttle?_______________________________________________ Market-farming mailing list Market-farming AT lists.ibiblio.org http://lists.ibiblio.org/mailman/listinfo/market-farming Market Farming List Archives may be found here: http://lists.ibiblio.org/pipermail/market-farming/ Unsubscribe from the list here (you will need to login in with your email address and password): http://lists.ibiblio.org/mailman/options/market-farming
