The local farmers co-op here in East Tennessee sells 6 ft long river cane bean poles for 80 cents a piece, which is still cheaper than using rebar. 

Personally, I just settled on a bush bean variety.

How are you all trellising pole beans?  I love pole beans and have several 100' rows, trouble is, netting from Johnny's is only 30' long and expensive!  I live in a high wind area and didn't like how I did it last year with just twine.  Any thoughts or ideas I'm listening!
