Hi everyone,

Has no one mentioned virgin mobile as an option to use with square up?
Their low end smart phone plan is 25$ a month and includes "unlimited
data," which, even if capped at 2 GB, sounds like way plenty of credit
card transactions. You would have to shell out 200$ or so for the
phone itself, of course.

We are rural enough that there really aren't any good home broadband
options other than cell phone ones.. so we've used a couple over the
last few years.

Right now we are using virgin mobile's broadband-2-go, basically a
cell-phone sized wireless point. It's nice because we can move it
around the house or take it with us anywhere we go. 40$ per month for
unlimited data, although they reserve the right to "slow down" your
connection speed after you go over 5 GB in a month. I don't watch
movies or do serious media downloading, but we do a fair amount of
casual surfing, and we've never gone over 5 GB. This would be plenty
of data for credit card transfers, also.

Our market is going to add wireless internet this year, and we're
going to be selling meat. Marketing-wise, it's probably time for me to
start taking plastic. I am going to talk to my local bank, but am not
optimistic that they will have a better option that this square up
deal.
