Is it too big an area to cover (e.g., with old cardboard, carpet, whatever will shut out all light and take a couple of years to break down) and lose from use for a period of 2-3 years? Can you graze goats on the land? I've heard that the ivy is a favorite and doesn't affect the milk, etc. You'd have to double check this.
