Application rates of Boron vary between 1-3 pounds per acre depending on the crop. To be on the safe side apply only one pound per acre per year. That works out to 5 pounds of 20% Solubor. To do that with a hand sprayer on a small area is very hard. Over dosing can be harmful to your plants there is not much margin for error... Bob.

Hello all.

I have a question about applying Boron.  Some years it seems I don't get the Boron applied because I never know the amount to use as everyone says you only need a little.  The Boron I have is Solubor (powder)  and in the past I mixed it in a bucket with water and applied with a small hand held sprayer directly to the beds.  Any suggestions for knowing how much to apply?  There is nothing written on the bag.  Thanks in advance,

Jen
