We've a planting window here in NW MO and hope to get a lot in the ground
this week. I use the local extension soil temps for a guide. Readings are
for bare ground, bean and corn stubble. 2" and 6" temps are given.
Should I consider the 2" or 6" soil temps for transplants? Which soil temps
should I consider when applying straw mulch? My mulch question is first for
coles and second for tomatoes.
Thanks, your experiences are valuable to a guy new to growing for market.
