Hi,

The C:N ratio is very important to pay attention to when considering this as a soil building material. Thus maybe precluding it as an exclusive substrate in vegetable fields. BUT if it's well composted, it's worth it weight in gold; considering all the microbial biodiversity that it promotes - mychorrhiza included.

Consider making it into biochar:

Are wood chips a good mulch for around tomatoes, peppers, etc? I am thinking
of getting a DR woodchipper. We have too many branches and hope this will be
good to use. Thank you. Sue
