Marcy:  I just got around to looking it up.  I transplanted it out on April 21 and in '08 I put it out on 5/5, so I think I'll wait till later this year , but no telling if another cold wet spring will take its toll.

When did you plant yours Elaine?

I had lots of stuff bolt in the greenhouse when we got down to 1 degree the end of March after the only snow of the season moved out.

Seemed like whatever didn’t freeze inside bolted.

I’m south of  you about 100 miles.

I had a neighbor tell me several years ago that a late hard freeze will also trigger early seed production in pasture grass.

Thanks for asking this question -- I had the same problem this year in Denver.  And thanks to all who answered -- the cool, rainy weather may have been enough to signal vernalizaiton.
