Steve,
A picture (or 2 or 3) would be worth a thousand words.
Thanks,

On a blower like a 4C440 you can put coffee can
cover attached with one of the screws at the air intake
to make a slide control of the air inlet
hole.
With new poly you will cover almost all of the air
intake and keep the poly just tight enough so that it is not popping and
rattling in the winds. An occasional pop on a gusty day is better than
overinflating.
As things happen that make holes in the poly you
then allow in more air.
The engineers call for "3/8 of an inch of water
column pressure" and you can make a gage with a piece of
clear (1/4 or 3/8 inch) plastic tube about 4 feet
long. Hot glue one end of the tube into the inner layer of poly, attach the tube
to a board in a U shape that is below the attachment place in the poly. Add a
couple tablespoons of antifreeze into the open end of the tube. The presure of
the air coming from the
poly air space should push the liquid so that the
fluid level is about 3/8 of an inch from even in the two legs of the U. If it is
not adjust the air intake of your blower.
If you are as confused from reading as I am from
writing, yell and I will go take some pictures.
Greenhouse poly will take apart or break the best
of steel greenhouse frames if over inflated or in a
major wind event.
