The GMO squash is out there. Justice 111 is a virus resistant zucchini, and
Prelude 11 is a virus resistant crookneck squash. There are lots of others as
well, those are the two I could think of right away. I think Asgrow did the
original work with squash, and the virus resistant strains.
These varieties don't yield as well as traditional squash, and the flavor is
not there either. I guess if you simply can't grow squash due to virus
pressure then you have the option of growing these. I'd rather grow a squash
that tastes the way squash should taste.
