won't touch it...fresh, bitter, whatever, they will have none of it...not
sure if it's because they have such good grass/weeds/bugs, but the lettuce is
better put to use in the compost pile. But before judging
it permanently bitter, I'd wait and retaste. I'm finding up here
that lettuce that tastes bitter one day, with a rain and cool temps, will taste
sweet the next, so I don't discard until after a rain/cool temps...if it still
tastes bitter then out it comes.
