rent for land around here (corn, soybeans, wheat) is between $90 and $150. dependent upon who owns the land (if they don't care about market price, they'll just keep it at $90 an acre forever), the quality of the soil, and the number of acres available. i've thought about renting conventional commodity crop land and offering to pay $125/acre. i think that's a fair price to pay.
