Kord plastics makes an insert called "18 presto pot" sometimes called sheet
pots. They are 3.5" square and tall. They are a deep 1801 type insert. I
used to sell tomato plants in them years ago and they work well though they
have very sharp edges where you break them a part. There are many options
other than 1020 flat size inserts if you want a 18 size container, talk to
your salesman... Bob.

I finally found the 1801 inserts in a catalog but it doesn't say how deep
they are. I'm wanting deep inserts for my tomatoes.
Would I be better off with 606 -- 2x2.25" x 3.32(D) ?
Maybe I just answered my question. Looks like 1801 are 2.25" deep
(standard).

To preserve more bench space I'm looking at switching my lettuce to smaller
plugs. I've used 72s for EVERYTHING in the past.

Do you transplant directly from 288s into the ground (hoophouse)?

Thanks everyone - This list is such a help!
Marcy
