We like the root and potato fork from Johnny's - item 9669. We have used it for leeks, carrots, garlic. It is expensive but has lasted where others have broke or bent.

Can anyone recommend good digging (spading) forks? If they're a
reasonable price, so much the better! Last winter I bought 3 from
hardwareandtools.com, and they all broke. Yellow fiber-glass handles
that proved to be too wimpy.
