I undersowed white clover to transplants (only grew 200' spaced about 1').
Ground seems to stay cooler thru Summer and shaded out most weeds.

Anyone try growing chard on plastic?
I've got some weed issues and, the last couple of years, we've had
fungal attacks on the chard, fungus that seems to be soil born.
I'm worried that plastic will be too hot for chard.
