HI! I asked the list to help after a storm with 60+mph wind and hail decimated all my crops. The squash was on the vines and the vines were still in the soil even though the foliage was gone. I was told to leave them alone and I did so. The foliage has since started to regrow not only on the squash but on other plants as well. I harvested a couple squash to check the maturity and they were ripe. Time will tell if I get anything else so I have planted a few fall crops. The greenhouse is not as bad as originally thought. Yesterday my husband, daughter and her boyfriend worked to pull the hoops striaght.and I may only lose a few feet of the total greenhouse from damage. We still need new plastic and some other small things but its a lot less than replacing a whole structure. I was to the point after struggling with 2 years of drought and the storm I wanted to pack it all in. We still won't know about our fruit trees since the hail damaged them too but things are lots better than they were. Have a nice Labor Day!!! Lu in Wis
