Well . . . .

We were looking for a seeder last year and ended up buying 2 tractor
mounted Planet Jrs. I can't say I was happy with them the first year.
I think using them will take lots of practice and tweeking - but it's
what we have now and I'll have to spend that time. For example the
carrots seeded in very poorly and I kept going over and over the rows to
make sure the seeds were dropping. Ditto with beets. I think I'll have
to work with the proper plates and brushes next season. Our friends
bought a used Stanhay and have a wonderful, perfectly spaced carrot crop
year after year. You get what you pay for I guess.

doesn't cost a fortune. recommendations?
Looks like a Matermac single row is about 2,000.
