Lucy,
I understand they have short ones (25' ???) and a long one (maybe 200' /??). Which did you try? Could you share some thoughts on them? Hard to open/close? Hard to put up? Did it just fall apart? No real warming benefits? etc. Thanks in advance.
We had a short 25' zip house. it was very hard to get and keep open. I talked to an Amish farmer who used them extensively and they rigged up some aux. pulley system to get the things open but IIRC it took two people to do it right. They also reported that the things were not easy to anchor to the ground and would fly away in the wind.
I suspect zip house has improved these things over the years. I tried one about 5 or 6 years ago. But Personally I would not waste my money on them when row cover is more versatile and, for me, easier to use.
I will say that the zip house still lives on our farm. The plastic is in good shape despite being exposed to the sun for several years.
