I've been using manure or compost tea plus in my drip system. I put a couple of shovelfuls of compost or manure in a woven plastic feed bag, twist and tie the top with a piece of baling twine, and drop the bag into a garbage can that I fill with water and let stand at least overnight.

Then I put the well-screened end of the injector hose deep into the garbage can while I run the drip. I also put in a couple of quarts of homemade apple not-quite vinegar (which I make by putting about a bushel of deadfall apples into another garbage can and filling with water, then cover and leave to steep in the sunlight), because my soil is quite alkaline (7.5).

The spent manure or compost, when dried, is great to spread on potato plants.

I have had no problem with clogging.

Market Farmers

I have a question about organic fertilizers for any who want to respond.
What organic fertilizers have you found that work well and can be used in a
drip irrigation system (fertigation) without clogging emitters? I'm
particularly interested in products that have general availability. Thanks
for your responses.
