Mark If you have just a garden patch try sulfur if you have a lot of land then
try a back door approach. When I farmed on limestone ground the Ph was 8.2.
Plants grow just fine but can suffer zinc iron manganese deficiency. When I
would get my fertilizer mixed at the fertilizer plant I would tell them to add
extra of those elements. And I would follow up with foliar feeding additional
trace elements that were normally tied up in high Ph soil.. Also ammonium
based fertilizers do a quick job of lowering Ph and acidic mulches can help
too like pine bark, black berries love bark mulch. I grew some of the best
brambles on 8.2 Ph soil.... Bob.
