I think you have the good sites pretty much covered on
your web site. I need to get back to work on my web site as soon as I can
sit at the computer more. Yours is very good!! Did you do it or have
it professionally done?
First let me apologize for not thanking you sooner for
the advise you gave me concerning how to find a USDA approved packer a few
weeks/months back. I finally managed to trace one down in Douglas County,
near Roseburg, OR. I was pleasantly surprised to find they don't charge
much more than regular "for own use" processing. They are about a 100
miles away but it is mostly freeway.
It definitely puts a new angle on my decision to stay or
try to find someone to help or to rent the farm. My sheep and cows are a
lot less hands on, hard work than the produce side. Grass fed, heritage breeds
make it easier too.
