- Subject: [Market-farming] yield estimates - quarts vs lbs

I am second year veg grower, trying to get better at planning. No, my stuff has not been sold before it is put in the ground. And I am struggling just about as much this year to figure out how much I can sell as I did last year, but am really trying to do a more accurate planning job. I have yield estimates from the Johnny's and Territorial catalogs, but they are mostly in pounds. I am visually in quarts, pints, bunches, roots. Does anyone know of "ballpark" conversions I could use to get started. Yes, I assume how much a quart weighs depends on how full you fill it, but I just need something to get started please. Thank you.
