We allways grew either Hickory King or Bloody Butcher for meal corn when I was growing up. I am planning on putting out some hickory king this year as a fellow up the road has his grandpa's grist mill and we are talking about fixing up the old one lung gas engine that drives it and putting it back into operation just for the satifaction of bringing a back to life a peice of the comunity that used to be a central part of the peoples lives there.

List,

I was wondering what would be the best corn to grow to make some home ground corn meal. our supply is about to run out and the farmer we got it from passed on and his kids quit the farm. I do have a small mill.

Thank you
