Matt

I was going through my email this morning and went too fast and deleted
this mail before reading it through. I realized my mistake but too late.
However, I was able to recover it and thought I should respond.

I work on the western edge of the Chicago metro area condusting research
on fruits and vegetable production for the University of Illinois at the St
Charles Horticulture Research Center. I work closely with commercial growers
and get involved in educational programming for growers. I'd be more than
happy to serve as a resource for you as well. Click on my webpage link below
and you can get my contact address.

>I am looking for some tips on the realities of starting a market garden
enterprise(adventure) pertaining to the economics. I know that there are
many variables but can anyone give me a starting point, books, personal
experience etc. How many acres minimum? What kind of yields do I need to
make it work. What are the best crops and marketing approaches to start
with and then expand?

ready to put in the sweat equity, just need a workable business plan before
I give up the "real" job. Thanks
