Liz
I am trying something new with my tomatoes this year I am planting the
tomatoes in two rows close together with a row of stock panels between the
rows.
this should give me plenty of support to tie up the tomatoe plants to that
wont
get over come by the weight of fully loaded vines like the cages I have been
useing do. I can attach my soaker hoses to the panel and keep it out of the
way
of cultivation and have a ready support to drap plastic over in case of later
than expected frosts.
I am planning to do something similar with my beans but with the panels
at a
slant to the T posts. the idea is the bean vines will climb the panels and the
beans will drape underneath makeing it easy to pick the beans without damage
to
the vines. less work, longer and better harvest. I will let you all know how
it
works out.
