Emily,
What about chickens? could they get at the beetles or grubs when they are
down low? Maybe Guinea Hens? Will they eat these bugs. hmm.. Do these
birds do well with Colorado Potato Beetles and larvae?

Roger,
We've had problems with Japanese beetles overwintering in permanent rye sod
in our raspberries, but maybe using dutch white clover is a good solution!
Please let the list know how it works out. The only problem I can think of
is a possible increase in wasp/ bee eating activity in the raspberries.
Emily
