I have grown this variety for several years now and it self-seeds rapidly -
into paths and any area you aren't planning on. I have, however, noticed
that it grows very well in the rocks around my herb garden and I'm thinking
of actually seeding it into stones next year and try a patch of it that way.
It usually germinates just slowly enough that the early spring weeds
overtake it faster than they do the regular leaf arugula - so the stones
would keep the weeds at bay.
I often let it grow the whole summer and cut the "branches" it puts out,
take them into the house (in the air-conditioning) and strip them off into a
sink of water. I then sell it loose from a tub for $20 a pound - and it
does sell! Just sold it that way last Saturday.
