- shell peas are basicly given away. Lu
Jasperson Why would they give something as creamy good as fresh
shelled cowpeas away? Sweet to the taste as all the natural sugars have not
turned to starch and the objectionable oliosaccarides (sp?) have not formed so
they have the wonderful fresh green flavor and easy short cooking times as the
water is already in them and the tenderness makes for a melt in the mouth treat
with the wonderful aroma wafting from the pot permeating the kitchen atmosphere.
A pint of that fresh shelled from a portable sheller has to be worth at least
two and a half dollars. With out paying a fair price their the buyer's complete
enjoyment could be seriously blunted and they won't come back for the barrier of
guilt they would certainly have after tasting and eating the peas. So please,
please don't undersell your peas.Bob C |
