In the Flower Farmer the author says "Your vases should be as clean as your
teacups" Its a cute catch phrase.
There are many homemade preservatives here's one
to one qt water add 1 t sugar, 1 t bleach, 2 t lemon or lime juice

or see:

as for containers suggest folks bring waxed cardboard orange juice or milk
containers. You either cut off the top or open it, fill it only enough to
have bottom of stems in water so less chance of sloshing in car. Of course
this container can be placed in another container box or rubbermaid to keep
it upright. The waxed cardboard containers can be wash in dishwasher.

As someone who watches the bottom line and also feels don't add stuff to the
project thats just going to be thrown out I don't suggest the cellophane
wrappers. They are pretty and probably work nice, but these are CSA folks
supposedly more environmental etc. My folks seem to love recycling if I say
bring in bags or egg cartons I usually get quite a few. They or you could
use newspaper or cut paper grocery bags to wrap flowers if need be.

I find CSA folks well folks in general do real well falling into a routine.
The flowers are in a bucket, you suggest they bring their own travel
containers you could even supply a few recycled container the first couple
of times. Have a handout with care suggestions and wala an enjoyable flower
CSA :).

By the way what flowers do you have so far? With our poor spring not much
here but my flowers aren't separate from veggies so its not a big deal. I
do have big Black Eyed Susans this week they really are pretty.
