Hi , on the mosquito front. Many years ago I read
that locals were controlling mossies in an african lake by fermenting a small
amount of bacillus thurengiensis (Dipel) using the milk in a fresh coconut.
Ferment for a few days then float said coconut in the lake.Apparently only
a few coconuts per lake gave control. I tried it here in Oz as I lived in a
street with open storm water drains. The drains aften stagnated between storms
and mossies bred. It worked as we had a remarkable reduction in Mossies that
whole season. Perhaps coincidence I dont know.I dont live there now and mossies
arnt aproblem where I live now.
Kind Regards
