Hey Sandra, good question on crop rotations for flowers. I've never seen
flower species broken down into their families such so rotation is possible,
at least not the extent a veggie grower does it. What is more feasible to
include in the rotation are cover crops, pasture, annuals & perennials.
Rotating between these breaks the cycle of population buildup in the soil of
weeds, insects and disease. Any way this can be accomplished will work.
Just remember, whatever you're growing, will favor that type of
weed--annuals to annuals & perennials to perennials. Break that cycle and
you're on your way!
