Fresh thyme or catnip or mint just about any of the really aromatic fresh
oils repel ticks. For the radical treatment eucalyptus oil, camphor and the
like. PS the dog will not like it at all.
I observed the neighborhood cats come and roll in my fresh thyme to get rid
of ticks and fleas so I tried it on the dog - seemed to work. Some times if
they are licking a wound to much I put some Tiger balm on the wound and that
works well. I have not found anything to keep the dog from coating his neck
fur with what ever dead and decaying filth of extreme high odor content he
can find after a bath.

Just wondered how other people kept ticks off their working dogs.
