Allan,
McEnroe organics has a mix that is based on Eliot Coleman's recipes.
They use it for blocking and so did I when I was making them myself.
They are based in Millerton NY but ship south and north, maybe even as
far as you.
The critical feature of a good block mix is that it withstand the very
wet conditions required to make good blocks.
Out of a 1/10th of a c.y.bag I could make 1200 1" blocks or 720 2"
blocks at about 66c and $1.11/100 respectively. [I used to pick the mix
up though so it would cost you more but still far less than making it
yourself]
