Tell your CSA members/farmer's market customers that the best way to
refresh all produce is in a 2% salt solution. Fill the sink up with cool
water add 1/4 cup salt to the water and put the veggies in. Through the
principles of osmosis the water will always go into the area with less
salt. Since you have made your sink water salty the water will than go
into the cells of the produce and refresh it. The salt water will also
release and kill any errant slugs still on the veggies.
