* Anti-Biotech Activists Are Faced With Fading Public Interest And

A Clean Environmental Bill Of Health For Genetically Modified Crops

NORWICH, England--While the genetically modified crop war is being waged
with intensity elsewhere in the world, the front in Britain has been
relatively quiet in the past few months.

This is surprising, considering that Britain has just has a general
election. The greatest challenge for the anti-biotech activists is the

............. (cut way short)

Hello,

Readers should beware of anything out of Bridge News. They work hand
in hand with the ultra right wing, corporately financed Hudson Institute,
home of Dennis Avery, organic hatchetman and star of John Stossel's smear
of organics on ABC's 20/20 program last year (for which he had to
publicly apologize for fabricating evidence).
Also keep your eyes out for these other Biotech/AgriCorp front
groups:
Frontiers of Freedom
Center for Global Food Issues
Heartland Institute
Competitive Enterprise Institute
Citizens for a Sound Economy
International Consumers for Civil Society
National Center for Public Policy Research

It is a sign, I suppose, of Organic's expanded clout with consumers
that a protracted disinformation and scare campaign is being mounted
against it. If you want to see something scary check out
www.NoMoreScares.com and how Alex Avery (son of Dennis) and others twist
truths and try to smear organic-ers as "fear profiteers", when that is
exactly what THEY are doing...
