Last year I grew dali as the mid east zuke. Was a pretty nice plant. Good production and good resistance to disease. Seeds are available from Johnnys Selected Seeds in Albion Maine. Pine Tree Seeds has them, but they only sell in tiny packets (at tiny prices though). The only problem with the mid east types was that the skin is extremely tender. You have to handle them carefully. But on the other hand, they were distinctive looking (thicker and more bulbous than an average zuke) and tasted pretty good.

Of course if you want to try Italian varieties, seeds are available from me.

Hi Bill,
What variety is your mid-east zucchini? Where do you get seed from? I
enjoyed your resourceful post, thanks - Jacqueline
