Hi. You could have watered too much or it may be that the weather has really
contributed. I think the antibiotic might be in order; just mix it into the
media as directed on the package. It doesn't keep long so you don't need to
be stingy with it. Just use as directed.
I don't use sterile mixes because I think it's useless; they don't
stay sterile for very long once they are in flats in the greenhouse. Also, I
like the beneficial organisms and increased nutrient complexity of a mix
that is compost-based. I do sterilize all my containers (although I use soil
blocks more than anything else). It generally takes a little while to get
good at seedlings, so don't despair, just keep on planting and
experimenting. You'll get it in the end.
