In the catalogue of Gardener's Supply Co www.gardeners.com
there is a newly developed organic seed for a potato developed at Cornell
that defends itself from "the 3 worst potato pests: Colorado potato
beetles, potato leafhoppers, and flea beetles. Fine hairs on the
undersides of the leaves irritate thse pests, so they quickly move on. It
was not developed through gene splicing."
