Nick Pine is an authority on renewable energy with special expertise
in solar thermal home/farm/shop/greenhouse heating systems. His
interesting posts can be read in the Usenet newsgroup,
alt.solar.thermal.
Someone might ask him about glazing options for cloches, greenhouses

The Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture conference is
happening on Friday and Saturday Feb 4 and 5 at Penn State; $75, with
an optional $17 "Rotational Grazing Feast"/Banquet on Friday night
