In response to this - as much of my work is involved in trying to sort
out disputes between urban/rural dwellers, and to ensure sustainable
agriculture, this is a suitable topic (although it is also covered a
lot on sites such as Sanet and Agnet). However, I joined primarily to
see what sort of market incentives there might be for sustainable
farming, and the items below seem to fit more into the regulatory
response area.

In this hype-sensative society we live in the relationship of even a small
farmer to his/her neighbors is a big concern. Is it appropriate to dicuss
in this forum the various ways we can keep things peaceful with those
around us?

What about odors, flies, manure, runnoff, surplus production, fertilizers,
noise, etc?
