For small Swiss built lathe power feed- Who sells miniature V belts ?
The power feed belt of a 1980's Schaublin 102N-VM that needs replacement. Suspect in the end I'll have to get one from Schaublin themselves, but curious if there might be a source for such in this country ?
The size is likely metric, but in inches aprox 3/16" top width and 1/8" depth of V...with steel core. The OD also has shallow serration similar to a timing belt but suspect that is only to help with flexibility as the serrations do not actually engage anything....it's the V that does the actual driving such that one without these serrations might work fine.
OD length aprox 20".
I suspect one of the tiny machine tool makers like Taig uses similar belts..in fact I called them and their's appear to be made by 3M but that's all I could glean from the conversation.-

Try Little Machine Shop. They carry everything for small hobbyist lathes like Sherwin, Taig and Chinese versions. The belts are similar to what you describe.

It sounds like a 3m belt, e.g. as used on Taig lathe and Ferrari 308 alternator drive. Usually run with very tight tension. Perhaps someone Schaublin Yahoo! Groups has the answer you need?

A Google search for "Schaublin lathe parts dealer in Pennsylvania" yielded:
Some Schaublin history plus a 2013 reference to Schaublin lathe and parts dealer D.A. Swiss, Inc. in Pennsylvania.
I have done business with them and they were prompt and reliable. I needed parts for a 102.
Why are there ~never~ any late model Schaublin lathes
Why are there ~never~ any late model Schaublin lathes | Factory Daily
"Schaublin lathes in the U.S. seem to have been used primarily by the fine watch companies such as Bulova and Hamilton. Many of the parts and machinery you see came from them. In particular, you'll see a great deal of machinery that is green. That was Bulova's factory color.
The European style of machinery never really caught on in the U.S. as is evidenced by the plethora of Bridgeport and Hardinge equipment on the secondary market. The notable exception were the Swiss automatics which took over from the Brown & Sharp automatic screw machines. If you'll check on the European eBay sites, I think you'll find quite a bit more Schaublin equipment offered.
The 102, as someone mentioned, is now made in a very squared off form. Up until recently they were otherwise identical in internal design and function to the older "rounded" versions. The current 102 is powered by a variable speed drive built right into the headstock. The 70 has remained pretty much the same as always, retaining the rounded form.
These machines offer the combination of incredible precision and an incredible array of accessories that allow the toolmaker almost limitless capability. They were and continue to be highly sought after by horologists and instrument makers, both here and in Europe.
There remains a very capable dealer for Schaublin lathes and parts here in the U.S. who I've dealt with and had great luck. The company is D.A. Swiss Inc. located in Southampton, PA. The contact is Marina Atwood. Their e-mail is daswillinc@aol.com. She handles the current product line and can get most parts for the older machines.
One additional comment: One of you complained that the machines that they see for sale are mounted on crummy tables. You must understand that a majority of these lathes were sold as "bench" lathes which were intended to be mounted on a bench of the purchasers choosing."

Not your day in lottery
5M would be probably better match if Milacron needs 5mm belt... and not 3mm or 7mm belt
Now the real question is: Are 5mm DIN 2215 and Gates polyflex 5M same-same/interchangeable or not?
Limy Sami linked some pretty good belts and I linked also shop that sells 5x510mm belts.. -

As it turns out 510mm is not quite long enough (later I cut the original belt and measured it more carefully)....so I ordered the Gates Polyflex 5M at 515mm length from Royal Supply in Ohio. Actually had to order 3 of them to meet their $20 min but that is ok. Thanks guys.

Seem like you got the right belt profile. I checked my 80's era Aciera F1 manual and it also uses Polyflex 5M belt in mill head.
Still not sure how close the DIN2215 offered by Limy Sami and me would have been... and finding belt pulley specifications can be pain in the ass.
