While at a local farm & ranch type store today, the chain saw aisle had an Oregon bar nose grease gun. Looking at it, I noticed it was made in Germany and appeared to be pretty good quality. Someone on the board here posted nice metal versions on ebay for about $80 or so, this one was $7. Granted it's plastic, but looks pretty well built.
I bought one and cleaned the grease out and flushed it out well with solvent. Then refilled with Vactra 2 oil, and went over the oil zerks on my Rockwell lathe. It worked quite well and doesn't appear to leak either. Definitely worth the $7.
