Well, John, I should be grateful those things aren't among the problems I have to cope with. We all should appreciate someone with 30 years behind them sharing with us here.

Our first problem was foxes. In the beginning they ate 80% of all the lambs born on the farm and on one occasion a fox killed 40 ducks in a few minutes. So I made an agreement with the foxes : " you leave mine alone and I won't bother you". Sometimes that truce held for years at a time and sometimes it didn't. I'm not proud to say that I killed over 750 foxes (and every time I kill one it hurts because I like foxes) over 30 years but if I hadn't we would not still be here. Farming is tough.
