I am not that happy with the stone age way of agriculture, slash and burn. You loose a lot of minerals that go up in smoke while composting would preserve them. Burning is traditional in Ireland as well and year after year the soil gets worse. Just for a moment things look greener and the next year more bare rock is showing trough.
