This report is of limited value as it is evaluated on yardsticks hanging from sky hooks.
True there is a massive overproduction of human edible food, much of which has reduced nutritional content and also has additional additives not intended by nature.
Nature is the REAL DEAL not the synthetically modified environment.
The volume produced artificially has increased significantly, 25%+ but without consultation with nature.
If you have a vehicle with a maximum design payload of say 10 tons and you now load it to 12.5 tons the vehicle may carry the additional load for a short time but extra maintains and parts replacement will be required on the vehicle and the road, our landscapes and oceans are no different.
The current excess production over requirements must be converted into SOIL FOOD production and not to alternative fuel. (Forget the “who will pay” chorus)
Globally there is to be a major soil restructure and maintains program to be addressed, much of our land surface has been changed into desert or non arable soil, this has happened over thousands of years and has been recognised for a couple of thousand years with no action.
The limitation to progress is Western Society synthetic trading currency to support an artificial economy.
Nature has a proven trading currency called Photosynthesis, Nature does not recognise money.
Humans are optional extras on this planet, the planet does not need humans but humans need this planet.
It is a “walk in the park” to feed 50 Billion humans with what nature has provided us, without restructure of human expectations, the “Who Will Pay” will be our grand children’s great grandchildren.
Douglas Fox.
